Remember what it was like as a kid when you woke up to a thick blanket of fresh snow? A whole new world of possibilities opened up. Snowball fights, building forts, sledding, and a slew of other possibilities took your imagination captive. Now, imagine having a winter camp with your family. Add in dozens of families playing in the snow together, hot chocolate around the fireplace, times in God’s Word, worship and broomball – what a great way to make those memories that you’ll talk about for years to come.
Retreat Speaker - Ken Shadel
Our speaker is Ken Shadel, a long-time attendee (30 years) of SBR. Ken resides in Crystal Lake, IL, with his wife of 37 years, Jill. They have 4 grown children and 4 grandsons, all of whom will be at SBR Winter Camp. He is a Colson Fellow graduate of the Colson Center for Biblical Worldview. Ken attends Harvest Bible Chapel in Crystal Lake, leads a Small Group, and teaches at different men's events. He has also presented on general Biblical Worldview topics. Ken and Jill love to adventure outdoors, whether hiking, biking, kayaking, or stand-up paddleboards. If there is snow, he and Jill will likely be cross-country skiing to relax or tubing with their grandsons.
Band: Raymond Drive
Born out of a deep brotherhood, Raymond Drive is a name that pays tribute to the very street these friends first began their musical journey together. Jordan, Dave, and Matt have banded together in other ensembles, and yet have found a kinship in leading God's church through song. Raymond Drive loves to serve God’s people through modern and classic contemporary songs, along with the great songs throughout church history.

Helpful Registration Information
Please plan to spend 30-45 minutes registering your family. Using this system is not as simple as shopping online. Since our system is used for a variety of events, we must collect information for each person attending, including emergency contact information and signatures on disclaimers. Make sure you are prepared to dedicate time to this registration process.
If you have never used the online website, you will need to establish a Username and Password. If you already established a Username and Password but have forgotten it, there is an option on the log-in screen to retrieve them.
The primary adult (responsible for payment), should select the program entitled “First Adult”. Once this program is selected, the First Adult will be able to select a cabin from the available cabins that are listed. If you are sharing a cabin with another family who has already reserved a cabin, you should select the option, “Sharing a cabin with another family”, which is also listed as a choice under the “First Adult”.
There should only be one ‘First Adult’ per family. All other adults should be registered to the “Additional Adult” program. Children should be registered under the program that fits their age range.
The non-refundable deposit of $120.00 must be paid at the time of registration in order to reserve your cabin. This deposit is non-refundable and only transferrable to a new registrant after your cancellation date—not to an attendee already registered.
If multiple family units are sharing a cabin, each family unit (Mother, Father, children), should register separately under their own family Username and Password.
Each page of the registration website has instructions that will help you through the process. If you have questions, there is a toll-free Help Desk number at the top of each page (click on “contact us”): 866-433-4548.
You will receive a confirmation email of your registration within 48 hours. Your final information packet will be sent via email approximately 2-3 weeks prior to your camp session.
